Three steps. (1) Submit an inquiry with your name, email, niche, date, location, the tier you’re closest to, and anything you want me to know going in. (2) Schedule the fifteen-minute pre-call from the success page; pick a slot that works. (3) After the call, you’ll receive a contract and a 50% retainer link. The date is locked once the retainer clears. Balance is due before delivery.

50% of the collection holds the date; the balance is due before final delivery. For weddings booked more than four months out, the balance can split into two payments: half at booking, half thirty days before the wedding. Other niches are usually deposit + balance at delivery.

Texas sales tax applies to delivered prints, albums, and any tangible products at the rate in effect on delivery. Travel beyond the Austin metro (over 50 miles from the studio) is billed at IRS mileage rate or actual cost for flights/lodging and quoted before booking. Anything from the a la carte list is added to the contract by line item, never as a surprise.

Often, yes. The most common mixes: Better-tier coverage with Good-tier deliverables (or vice versa), or any tier with one or two a la carte additions. The pre-call is where we sketch the right combination. A tier label is a starting point, not a fence.

Outdoor portrait sessions get one free reschedule for weather, no questions asked. For weddings, the retainer is non-refundable but transfers once to a new date within twelve months if the original date can’t happen. For everything else, reschedules within seven days of the original session may incur a partial fee depending on cause; the contract spells out specifics. The intent is fairness, not gotchas.

It happens. A multi-day event, a corporate retreat, an editorial commission, a wedding that needs more than the Best tier covers. Submit the inquiry, mention it in the message, and we’ll build a custom quote on the call. Most custom quotes follow the same shape as the published tiers; they’re just sized to the work.

For weddings, yes: the balance can split as described above. For other niches, the standard is deposit + final. If a different cadence makes the booking possible, ask on the call. The studio prefers to work with clients on terms rather than lose the booking over scheduling.

Because brides and clients use the word pricing. Real estate uses pricing. Luxury goods use pricing. The word “investment” became fashionable among photographer coaches in the 2010s and clients consistently report it reads as overcorrection. The studio uses the word that already describes what this page is.
